Welcome to ROTC, aka RuinsOfTheClans. This is the guide, and it contains all the information you need to know! This serves as somewhat of a guidebook for new members. Make sure to give this a proper and thorough read! An FAQ is also included here.
1: Getting Started
Welcome to RuinsOfTheClans! We are so glad to have you here. We are a present-day warrior cats roleplay site. Yes, that's right! Present-day indeed. On the date/time thing, you'll find the current date! However, we all know you may have many questions, so let's get started! First, you may want to make a character, so go to the board HERE. Here, you'll find the character application form! You can post your finished applications in the application thread, you just post the link. Then, in the board, there's also a thread called "Applications". You post your applications there, and you'll get a PM if your application has errors, and a reply if your application has been accepted! Then, you make a character account for your character. To do that, you click on the icon of the two persons, and then you click "Register a new account on this forum". Your username for the account will be the name of your character. While you're waiting, introduce yourself HERE. Get to know everyone else that is a member of the forum! You should also view the database HERE. It contains everything about the Clans, and other things! Feel free to check out the rest of the board too!
2: Roleplaying
Roleplaying is the most important feature in RuinsOfTheClans, especially since this forum is a Warrior Cats-based roleplay. There are different categories that'll have titles such as "Northern Areas", which show the northern locations in one whole area, and so on. You can have your character roleplay in these areas, make threads, and so on! We even have a HUNTING THREAD in one of the areas, located HERE, in Yellowbranch Forest! You can have your character hunt different kinds of prey, lose health, and so on! I downloaded the plugin to add a somewhat "sim" experience. Fun, right? Roleplaying is pretty simple, the main things you need to know are no powerplaying or godmodding, and no explicit content, including graphic and detailed depictions of mating, birth, and also violence. We don't want anything involving gutspills and all that, being there'll also be 13-year-olds on here! If you're 16+ or 18+ and are used to those kinds of roleplays, do private PM roleplays if you feel like you need to do graphic content. We don't want any younger roleplayers and members to see this.
3: Characters-What Breed and More Information
Characters, characters, characters! Just roleplay characters. You cannot make your character a character from the Warrior Cats series, but your character can have the same name, just not the same appearance. For example, you can have a character named Dovewing, but they cannot look like her. You can make your character named Dovewing a brown tabby, or a cat named Bluefur a blue-gray tom! If your character has the same appearance as a character due to the name, make them the opposite gender to prevent confusion. We also have banned breeds, but there is hardly any banned breeds. The banned breeds are the Savannah Cat, Turkish Angora, Korat, Ocicat, and Singapura. To look at cat breeds for reference for your character, view this Wikipedia page HERE. This page provides useful information on cat breeds! Also, make sure your character does not have any unrealistic coloring, we don't want any unrealisticness, like cats with neon fur. If you feel the need to have to, provide a realistic story, like say they were sprayed with coloring by a human on accident, or maybe a human abused them and painted them in marker(the marker incident is a real story). Don't give your character stuff like red or purple eyes!
4: Points
We have our own "currency" system here at ROTC: Points! You can earn Points by doing many things and you can earn a monthly point wage! You can give Points to others, and you can even earn rewards by reaching a certain amount of Points! Currently, there will be no shop to spend them in yet, as I don't have enough Super Keys and therefore do not have enough money to buy Super Keys. However, enjoy the Points the way how they are as well! You can also earn Points by posting and you even have your own stash to store your Points in. There will be planned perks for getting more Points as ROTC progresses and is worked on more, as well as eventual images! Again, for now, Points are just a special reward system thing that are currently unspendable at the moment, but you can give members Points say, you purchased something from them, etc. The possibilities are endless!

A: PG-13, but we allow explicit content in PM's if members seriously need to include graphic content, but no graphic depictions of mating.
